Leafkit trotted cheerfully out of the nursery at around sunhigh, gazing around the camp. She'd been out of the nursery only once before, and at that time, Emberflower had escorted her. At this time, however, her mother was worn out, and Leafkit had woken up from a nap and saw an opportunity: sneak out of the nursery, play, then go back in before Emberflower woke up! It was the perfect plan!
As the big kitten studied the camp for a second time, getting a much clearer view of it now that she wasn't bouncing around in eagerness, Leafkit let out a happy sigh and purred. This was her Clan, her home. WindClan was happy, cats eating, coming back in from patrols, heading out to go hunting... everything was well.
A mischievous thought sparked in the she-cat's mind, and she ran for cover along the side of the camp wall. Crouching and wiggling her hindquarters, Leafkit prepared to go hunting - for a Clanmate, that was. The second some unsuspecting warrior or apprentice wandered into camp, bam, they'd be done for!

Olivekit on the other hand had woken up to a cold spot where Leafkit had been and was on a mission of his own. Find his sister, 'how dare she leave the nursery!' Emberflower didn't want them to leave the nursery without her yet.
On his mission he poked his nose into the Medicine den, just long enough to see if she was there. She wasn't. Then he looked in the Elder's den, the warriors den and the apprentices den. Finally he was about to ask one on the less scary warriors for help, or wake Emberflower, though he wondered whether he would ever find his way back, when he saw her by the camp wall.
Olivekit scampered up to her, squeaking, "Leafkit, Leafkit." Then reaching the place where she hid, poked her with her paw, then getting sidetracked as all kits do, asked her, "What are you doing? Can I play too?"

Leafkit jumped and squeaked when her brother approached. "Olivekit, don't scare me like that!" Leafkit hissed in surprise, widening her eyes and playfully trying to bat Olivekit's ear. Although Olivekit wasn't the smallest kit in the Clan, he was smaller than Leafkit, and she always tried to be gentle with him.
After a moment, the she-kit purred, "I'm going to pounce on the next cat that comes into the camp. You can go to the other side and help, if you want." The mischief in Leafkit's eyes returned and her eyes narrowed. The young feline crouched, her tail lashing wildly, and began waiting again.

Olivekit jumped as Leafkit's paw hit his ear. "Ouch!" then he batted back at her. Her words started to sink in. Yes, he could play! he scampered to the other side of camp and stood waiting for a cat to appear.
He wasn't very attentive though, his eyes kept being caught by butterfly's and such. He jumped up as a particularly large butterfly passed by, but missed and went crashing down again.

Leafkit watched Olivekit as he jumped at a butterfly, purring in amusement as he failed at catching the flying creature. Having gotten bored of waiting, the golden-brown she-cat lashed her tail a few times mischievously, sneaking off in the hope that her brother was still distracted.
The she-cat made her way around camp, stalking silently up to her brother.
"Gotcha!" Leafkit squealed, trying to pounce on Olivekit. Had he seen her coming? Would she be able to pin him down? The she-cat's fluffy tail was waving wildly in the air, her eyes glinting happily as she looked at her brother. In a moment, Leafkit's happiness watched away, as she heard rustling from the nursery area. Gasping in horror, the large kitten leaped back, watching attentively, body stiff. A few seconds passed and Emberflower did not come out of the nursery, and so Leafkit relaxed again, sighing, "We should be more quiet, I guess."
